What does an adult really know about the world given the way he, unlike children, struggles to achieve happiness after his basic needs have been satisfied? How can we irritable, lumbering adults look at a graceful child and imagine we have any idea what to teach her about life?
What keeps going wrong with the world? Aren’t all our social problems connected to what happens to us as children? Don’t we learn the fundamentals on how to treat others from the way we were treated in childhood?
